This set of mounting brackets will allow you install a 2.5" hard drive  into a standard 3.5" slot. Notebook hard drives, including solid state  drives, are 2.5" hard drives so they will work perfectly with these  brackets.


Much better than metal.  The magnetism of HDD is insulated.


How does the  plastic mounting brackets compare to the metal ones?

Dell chooes to use plastic mounting brackets in all of its PCs,  workstations, and servers. Researches have not show metal mounting  brackets provides better cooling than plastic ones. SSD hard drives do  not dissipate heat anyway.

While most metal brackets come in 2 pieces, plastic mounting rail comes  in one complete piece. This makes it easier to install and secure (4  screws need for plastic vs 8 screws needed for metal).

Does it work with bottom mounting computer  case?

The mounting brackets are compatible only with side mounting compuse  case. It will not work in a bottom mounting case.

My case is screwless and uses rails to secure  drives. Will this work?

Yes. The brackets have screw positions where standard 3.5" hard drive  screw positions would be, therefore you can install rails on it the same  way.

Order cancellation

All orders can be cancelled until they are shipped. If your order has been paid and you need to make a change or cancel an order, you must contact us within 12 hours. Once the packaging and shipping process has started, it can no longer be cancelled.

Refunds

If you did not receive the product within the guaranteed time(60 days not including 2-5 day processing) you can request a refund or a reshipment.

If you received the wrong item you can request a refund or a reshipment.

If you do not want the product you’ve receive you may request a refund but you must return the item at your expense and the item must be unused.
