As they are a solid state semiconductor device, LED has a longer lifespan typically lasting over 100,000 hours.
Being solid state devices, the LED will perform exactly as when they were manufactured as opposed to the CCFL which loses light output continuously over their life up to 50%.
This kit is a direct replacement for Laptop screens that were originally equipped with a single CCFL backlight lamps. By upgrading to this high brightness LED backlight, the luminance of white could reach as high as 700 nits and the luminance contrast ratio could reach as high as 1000:1.
