When I listened to how the Sonata HD III sounds, I could not believe that this particular chip is here. The DAC plays - it's simply impossible to break away. The sound is so mesmerizing that I once again listened to all the cream from my media library. Yes, I agree, the DAC feed is rather cast, without pronounced clarity and transparency in nuances. However, when you listen to it, you notice simply incredible melody, naturalness and some stunning expressiveness and transmission of emotions.
In addition, throughout the entire range we have a pleasant mass, good attacks and slightly slow decays. The bass is lively, enveloping, with good depth and texture, the middle is juicy, rich and just super musical. High frequencies do not draw attention to themselves, while all loops and percussion decays are in their places. Everything is so natural, without unnecessary harshness, dirt and distortion, which is taken for granted. But it is much more important that TempoTec endowed its new model with its own unique character: with simply unrealistic depth, timbre volume and melody.
