This riser card supports the 2280 PCIE x4 and PCIE x2 protocol M.2 NGFF SSD converted to the 2013 2014 2015 version of the Apple MacBook AIR and PRO A1465 A1466 A1502 A1398 hard drive.
PCIE x4 and x2 M.2 NGFF SSD are divided into AHCI protocol and NVMe protocol. For Novice user, please use PCIe x2 or x4 AHCI hard disk. Experienced and capable user can use NVME protocol PCIe x4 M. 2 NGFF SSD installation.
Note: It is not recommended use the adapter for Samsung 970 PRO hard disk
About using AHCI protocol hard disk or NVME protocol hard disk, this is your own technical problem, has nothing to do with the adapter card!
Novice buyers are advised to purchase PCIe x4 or PCIe x2 M.2 NGFF AHCI SSD with this adapter card! Because the disk installation system of the AHCI protocol is relatively less restrictive, note that the AHCI data transfer protocol is not a SATA data transfer protocol.
In particular, not all NVMe M.2 NGFF SSD Apple computers are compatible! To buy a matching hard drive can refer to the buyer evaluation and consulting customer service! If the hard disk is not compatible, it will be restarted repeatedly, but it will not be recognized!

It is important to note that some Apple computers use the adapter card + SSD instead of the Last 2013 version original Apple hard drive. After the system is hibernated, it will crash and wake up. You need to restart the computer to use it normally. This has nothing to do with the adapter card. The type of hard disk used is related.
Some buyers confirmed that the use of Samsung 970evo, HP EX900 920 950, SanDisk extreme Pro M.2 NGFF and Lexar NM600 will not appear to wake up the crash, so I suggest you try to choose these types of hard disk plus adapter card.
If you use another model to wake up after sleep wakeup, it is recommended to turn off the system's sleep function after installing the system! (About re-waking the crash after entering hibernation, it is related to the computer model and the hard disk model used, but this model is too much, we can't verify it one by one!)
If the hibernation function is not disabled, the Apple system goes to sleep, that is, after the black screen, it needs to be turned off and then booted into the system. After the Windows system wakes up, it will automatically restart. Some models use Windows 10 without problems.
Warm Tips:
1, The adapter card into the computer's SSD socket is not inserted in place, you can use a little bit of force, The Adapter Card need to be inserted the end.
2, It is wrong to use the SATA protocol M.2 NGFF hard drive to install.
3, The system installation disk must use version 10.14 or higher, the old version systems do not include NVME drivers.
4, If the hard disk partition format is wrong, it is not recognized when installing the system, you must have GPT (GUID) partition format. Be careful not to use any partitioning software of the windows system to partition the hard disk or partition the hard disk by the PE system, otherwise it will cause trouble for future installation work! You can use the Linux software such as the Ubuntu installation disk to partition the hard disk!
5, Do not install the system from the network, and do not try to use your original backup to restore the system, because the old and new versions of the Apple system disk format is not the same! Please download the Apple system, do a 10.13.6 Apple system installation disk, install from the USB disk.
