Q1: B5U is not as bright as TV
A1: LED TV uses same light source of LED light: Light Emitting Diode, if we stare at TV screen, just like we stare at LED glare, our eyes get exhausted easily, which causes near sight. Staring at projection screen is like staring at natural views, they are reflecting light.

Q2: What is the difference between LED and laser light source?
A2: LED Light Source: wavelength 415-450nm VS Changhong Laser Projector: wavelength＞455nm. LED's polarized light accelerates visual Fatigue, reflecting laser light brings natural color.

Q3: What is MEMC?
A3: Motion Estimation/Motion Compensation, an algorithmic technique used to predict a frame in a video, given the previous and/or future frames by accounting for motion of the camera and/or objects in the video.

Q4: Why MEMC is a must for a giant screen above 65"?
A4: It is hard for human eyes to tell the difference W/O MEMC when the screen is below 65” and playing fast moving images. When it comes to above 65”, like for 100”, MEMC is able to make animation more fluid, to compensate for display motion blur, and for fake slow motion effects.

Q5: What is 115% BT.709 Color Gamut?
A5: If we take BT.709 as a triangle, square meter=1. Then B5U’s square meter=1.15 BT.709 represent total color numbers in the triangle.

Q6: Why we need an ALR screen for B5U.
A6: Black grid screen optic gain is 0.6, it loses 40% brightness which escapes to left, right and bottom directions, but it rejected ambient lights, without ambient light influence, the image’s color, color temperature, contrast…get better.
White wall(PVC screen) optic gain is 1.0 Fresnel screen optic gain is 1.3, which means it gathers 30% more lights to one direction, in the meaning time, the color, color temperature, contrast are much better.

Q7: Why HDR is important to a movie?
A7: High Dynamic Range, used in imaging and photography to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity. Simply speaking, without HDR, you can’t see details in the dark, and you find some white smog covers the bright part.

Q8: Why we need better configuration in a projector.
A8: Like a computer, projector is required to calculate when it is working, 3+64G configuration projector’s working speed is far better than 1.5+8G, 2+32G…We can’t tolerate lag in games, surely we can’t tolerate lag in movie.

Q9: What is TR 0.21: 1
A9: TR=Throw Ratio, is the ratio of the distance from the lens to the screen (throw) to the screen width. For 16:9 ratio screen 100” width 2214mm, B5U TR 0.21. Then the distance from lens to screen=2214mm*0.21=464mm. The distance from lens to projector back=272mm. Then the distance from projector back to screen=464mm-272mm=19.2mm.

Q10: Why heat-dissipating is important?
A10: Too much heat radiation will reduce laser light source lifetime, will decrease brightness, will make people uncomfortable. CHIQ guarantee: anytime you touch B5U, it is cool.
